Children’s Farm

Bottle-feeding baby goats in the Spring

Throughout the year, children are invited to get their hands dirty and participate in the life of the farm. Activities vary month-by-month with the rhythms of the natural year. Plans for the year include planting an orchard, care for goats and chickens, maintaining and harvesting a vegetable garden, maple sugaring, and winter handicrafts.

The farm is a permeating reality here. Whenever children visit the house, they encounter the animals and the rhythms of the backyard farm. As time goes on, we are hoping to develop more farm-specific opportunities.
